Resumo: Technological entrepreneurship is increasingly conquering more social importance since it strongly fosters economic development. One consequence is the growing attention given to the generation of startups, that is, their creation and development. It is known that startups have great potential to produce a substantial impact in terms of creating innovations, generating value, creating jobs and economic development. However, they present weaknesses, risks, and a high chance of failure, given its environment full of complexity, constant changes and uncertainties. Over the past few years, several methods have been created as a means of assisting in the creation and development of technology-based businesses. However, the literature on analytical models to investigate or guide the adaptation, utility and the design process of such methods has not evolved in a similar way. This work seeks to build on this gap and analyze the adaptation, utility and design process of a new method proposed to assist the generation of startups. We opted for the methodology of multiple case studies, through which founders of six startups who used a new method were interviewed. Subsequently, an analysis was made helped by the comparison of information gathered and literature on the development of technological management toolkits and on the phases involved in the design and maturation of methods / frameworks to support technological entrepreneurship and related areas, such as management of technological innovation.

This work seeks to build on this gap and analyze the adaptation, utility and design process of a new method proposed to assist the generation of startups. Subsequently, an analysis was made helped by the comparison of information gathered and literature on the development of technological management toolkits and on the phases involved in the design and maturation of methods / frameworks to support technological entrepreneurship and related areas, such as management of technological innovation.O empreendedorismo tecnológico vem conquistando cada vez maior importância social, de acordo com os diversos benefícios econômicos provenientes deste fenômeno.
