Resumo: | Black women experience, everyday, situations of oppression, either by prejudice and racial discrimination, either by gender, what puts them in a constant conflict and psychological distress. Given this situation, this essay will reflect on the possibility of Afro-Brazilian religions, mainly candomblé, to offer a territory promoting mental health, as it offers an important symbolic repertoire for the promotion of resilient behavior in the face of adversity. Three mythical narratives about the orixá Oxum, divinity of the rivers and the waterfalls, will be analyzed here, understanding them as potentiating capacities and qualities that can produce new meanings and actions of resistance. |

Las mujeres negras viven a diario situaciones de opresión, ya sea por prejuicios raciales y discriminación, o por género, lo que las pone en constante conflicto y sufrimiento psicológico. Ante esto, este ensayo pretende reflexionar sobre la posibilidad de que las religiones afrobrasileñas, en particular, el candomblé, se constituyan como un territorio que promueve la salud mental, ya que ofrecen un importante repertorio simbólico para la promoción de conductas resilientes en el rostro. de la adversidad. Se analizarán tres narraciones míticas sobre el orisha Oxum, divinidad de los ríos e de las cascadas, entendiéndolas como potenciadoras de capacidades y cualidades, que pueden producir nuevos significados y acciones de resistencia. As mulheres negras experienciam, cotidianamente, situações de opressão, seja pelo preconceito e discriminação racial, seja pelo de gênero, o que as coloca em constante conflito e sofrimento psíquico. Diante disto, este ensaio pretende refletir sobre a possibilidade de as religiosidades afro-brasileiras, em destaque, o candomblé, se constituírem como um território promotor de saúde mental, uma vez que oferecem um repertório simbólico importante para a promoção de comportamentos resilientes diante das adversidades.
