Sensitive to the cries for help of the vulnerable, who cry out like the oppressed of Israel: “How long, Yahweh, will I call for help and you will not listen, will I cry to you: Violence! And wilt thou not save?” (Hc 1.2), this article wants to bring the hope of a Theology, as well as provocations for a Bioethics. The guiding question is: What do Theology and Bioethics have in common in promoting Social Justice? Faced with this Theology that has its feet in reality and Bioethics of intervention, this article aims to identify the theological understandings and the relationship between Theology and Bioethics in the face of social justice, especially in Brazil. For this, the article will decode the convergences between Theology and Bioethics in order to highlight bridges; propose the promotion of social justice through convergences. The approach is based on a deductive, qualitative and bibliographical review methodology, bringing a theological hermeneutics and a Bioethical sensitivity in the face of the outcry for social justice. The article points to an intimate relationship between Theology and Bioethics, identifying in the claims of the wronged, a common challenge for both.
