Resumo: This paper looks forward to carrying out a reading on one of the poems by Stela do Patrocinio, a poet from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, presented in the poetic anthology intitled Reino dos bichos e dos animais é o meu nome {Beasts and animals kingdom is the name of mine} (2001). The work is seen, in general, as a cluster of transcriptions elaborated by others from the author’s speeches and sayings, while she lived in an asylum institution. Stela’s “falatório” {“talkery”} launches us to a trial of comprehensiveness, through the articulation with psychoanalysis, on how the unconscious of a psychotic subject can function and can be structured, in addition of telling us something about the body as psychic as well as somatic, and also pointing out the possible relations between the concept of foreclosure towards artistic language. In this sense, our reflections will be based, predominantly, on the writings of French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan.
