Resumo: | This study starts from the understanding of the black subject as the one who, in the Brazilian society, fits in the part of the population that recognizes itself as black or brown. In this sense, to be black is to build and to be built identitatively as belonging to a part of the population that had been marginalized for a long time. Recognizing the complexity of defining the black subject and the importance of listening to these long-dissident voices, I am willing to investigate the process of self-perception as a black person in rapper Baco Exu's Blues song Bluesman. More precisely, the study aims to understand, in a discursive-cognitive perspective, this process of perspective and staging of the black subject's experience in the narrative constructed by Baco Exu do Blues in Bluesman music. I understand that cognitive perspectivation is a basic operation constitutive of human narrative capacity and that it can be caught and described in the dynamics of enunciative enactment of the narratives analyzed. I assume as hypotheses that: i) on the basis of the identity construction as a “black person” of the subject under study is the process of perspective of the experience of (re) construction of narratives about oneself; and ii) this process implies referencing as black based on the co-construction of multimodal metaphors. As a way to reach the assumed objective, I will use Forceville (2016) as a theoretical reference, for its importance in the interpretation of multimodal objects; Brandt (2004), which allows the construction of an analysis based on the theory of integration levels; and Lakoff (1980), for understanding its relevance to any research that proposes to study the process of metaphorization. |
