Resumo: | Flexibility arises in architecture as a strategy that allows the adaptation of space to changes in the way of life of the occupants of the architectural space. But, although it is not a new theme for architecture, we observe that there is still a majority in the construction of cities a large number of architectural projects that do not take the flexibility of housing as an initial design premise. This problem is associated with some factors that corroborate the maintenance of the sector's status quo, which I seek to investigate in this article. |

Pero, aunque no es un tema nuevo para la arquitectura, observamos que todavía hay mayoría en la construcción de ciudades un gran número de proyectos arquitectónicos que no toman la flexibilidad de la vivienda como premisa de diseño inicial. Este problema está asociado a algunos factores que corroboran el mantenimiento del statu quo del sector, que intenté investigar en este artículo.A flexibilidade surge na arquitetura como estratégia que permite a adaptação do espaço as mudanças na forma de vida dos ocupantes do espaço arquitetônico. Mas, apesar de não ser um tema novo para a arquitetura, observamos que ainda é maioria na construção das cidades um grande número de projetos arquitetônicos que não levam a flexibilidade das habitações como premissa inicial de projeto.
