Resumo: | This paper investigates the dissemination of derogatory speeches involving gender issues, in conservative groups, in the WhatsApp messaging application. The theoretical reflection triggers recent discussions on gender conservatism and the role of WhatsApp as a platform for sharing these discourses, in the light of Biroli et al. (2020), Chagas et al. (2019), Santos et al. (2021), Faludi (2009) and Brown (2019). Through a qualitative analysis of a sample of messages from 70 Bolsonarist groups, we evidenced how anti-feminist and anti-LGBTQIA+ arguments, the construction of the violent/traitorous woman and the elaborations on the ideal woman endorse a conservative conception regarding relationships of gender. |

Este trabajo investiga la difusión de discursos despectivos que involucran cuestiones de género, en grupos conservadores, en la aplicación de mensajería WhatsApp. La reflexión teórica desencadena discusiones recientes sobre el conservadurismo de género y el papel de WhatsApp como plataforma para compartir estos discursos, a la luz de Biroli et al. (2020), Chagas et al. (2019), Santos et al. (2021), Faludi (2009) y Brown (2019). Mediante un análisis cualitativo de una muestra de mensajes de 70 grupos bolsonaristas, evidenciamos cómo los argumentos antifeministas y anti-LGBTQIA+, la construcción de la mujer violenta/traidora y las elaboraciones sobre la mujer ideal avalan una concepción conservadora en cuanto a las relaciones de género.Este paper investiga a disseminação de discursos depreciativos envolvendo questões de gênero em grupos conservadores no aplicativo de mensagens WhatsApp. A reflexão teórica aciona as recentes discussões sobre o conservadorismo de gênero e o papel do WhatsApp como plataforma de compartilhamento desses discursos, à luz de Biroli et al. (2020), Chagas et al. (2019), Santos et al. (2021), Faludi (2009) e Brown (2019).
