Resumo: The purpose of this article is to show, through the study of the series The Midnight Gospel (2020), that the digital narrative explores, enhances, and gives new meaning to the mythological question in our days. In the series The Midnight Gospel, the theories of the imaginary and the study of narrative are used to analyze the myth of puer aeternus as revealing the difficulty of becoming an adult in a world where social reality is permeated by alternatives of simulations or escape from reality. The conclusion is that narrative assumes a pedagogical, dialogic, and interactional role, present in orality and conversational practices, and that meditation is a necessary practice for psychic health.

En la serie The Midnight Gospel se utilizan las teorías del imaginario y el estudio de la narrativa para analizar el mito del puer aeternus como revelador de la dificultad de convertirse en adulto en un mundo donde la realidad social está impregnada de alternativas de simulaciones o huidas de la realidad. La conclusión es que la narrativa asume un rol pedagógico, dialógico y interaccional, presente en la oralidad y las prácticas conversacionales, y que la meditación es una práctica necesaria para la salud psíquica.O objetivo deste artigo é mostrar, por meio do estudo da série The Midnight Gospel (2020), que a narrativa digital explora, potencializa e ressignifica a questão mitológica em nossos dias. Recorre-se às teorias do imaginário e ao estudo da narrativa para analisar, na série The Midnight Gospel, o mito de puer aeternus enquanto revelador da dificuldade de se tornar adulto em um mundo onde a realidade social é permeada por alternativas de simulações ou fuga da realidade.
