Resumo: The functional aspects of mediatization of religious television discourses mediatization in Brazil are examined from its appropriation by television viewers believers (Catholics and Protestants), through discursive strategies. New connections between social actors and mediatic practices attract attention, with the preminence of operations, text and representations that these subjects make to build their links with the functioning of a new way of making religion, in the context mediatization of social practices.
