Resumo: There is a current prevalence of respectable gays, lesbian and trans people on soap operas and series produced by RedeGlobo. Does it mean an advance with respect to media representations of dissident sexualities? In this work, the subject will be discussed from the analysis of Queridos amigos, serial broadcast on TV Globo on February and March 2008. Through the analysis of gender and sexuality rules and values evoked in the serial, we problematize the representation of two travestite characters. The study is based on a poststructuralist conception of representation and Queer theoretical approach.

En este trabajo, proponemos una discusión sobre tal temática a partir de la investigación de la serie Queridos amigos (2008), exhibida por la TV Globo entre febrero y marzo de 2008. En destaque, a través del análisis de normas de género y sexualidad evocadas en la obra, problematizamos la representación de dos personajes travestis. Para ello, nos basamos en una concepción post-estructuralista de representación y en la teoría Queer.A atual predominância de gays, lésbicas e trans discretas e respeitáveis na ficção televisiva produzida pela Rede Globo significa um avanço para as representações midiáticas de sexualidades dissidentes? Neste trabalho, propomos uma discussão sobre tal temática a partir da investigação da minissérie Queridos amigos (2008), exibida pela TV Globo entre fevereiro e março de 2008. Em destaque, através da análise de normas de gênero e sexualidade evocadas na obra, problematizamos a representação de duas personagens travestis.
