Resumo: | In Modern Times: art, time, politics, the french philosopher Jacques Rancière (2021) provides elements to think about the constitution of great narratives in the historical process, putting under suspicion the past and future opposition, but also to think about the conditions of possibilities of the temporalities in the establishment of new regimes and disturbances of the sensitive, with an emphasis on cinema. Rancière’s reflection provokes a rethinking of the relationship between art, time and politics and the conflicts that are exposed with the treatment of different temporalities, so to speak, and a review of modernity and the hierarchical distribution of times and forms of life in the great narratives, especially in cinema. |

La reflexión de Rancière provoca un replanteamiento de la relación entre arte, tiempo y política y los conflictos que se exponen con el tratamiento de las diferentes temporalidades, por así decirlo, y una revisión de la modernidad y la distribución jerárquica de tiempos y formas de vida en las grandes narrativas, especialmente en el cine.Em Tempos modernos: arte, tempo, política, o filósofo francês Jacques Rancière (2021) fornece elementos para se pensar a constituição das grandes narrativas no processo histórico, colocando sob suspeita a oposição entre passado e futuro, mas também para se pensar as condições de possibilidades das temporalidades na instauração de novos regimes e de perturbações do sensível, com ênfase para o cinema.
