Resumo: The present study has one main objective: to revise the bibliography concerning the state of the art of Research in Public Relations in Brazil. In order to carry out this investigation, bibliography research techniques have been used, as well as content analyses research. It has been observed that this topic has not been sufficiently explored, since it has emphasized basically the stages in the research process, its classifications and its responsibilities of Public Relations Research.

Para a elaboração do estudo foram utilizadas: as técnicas de pesquisa bibliográfica e de análise de conteúdo.
