Resumo: Between the year of 1899 and 1938 the German language almanac Koseritz’ deutscher Volkskalender für Brasilien, edited in Porto Alegre/ RS, publishes literary texts of German, Austrian and Swiss female writers. This article analyses the representations of female figures presented in short stories and poems of these female writers and his process of reception as a contribution to the history both of books and reading and literary.
