Resumo: Historiographic metafiction, as treated by Linda Hutcheon (1991) in A Poetics of postmodernism, is the most common production in the postmodern context, bringing the mix between history and fiction, taking up the past in an ironic and not nostalgic way. Thus, there is a strong presence in this production of the interface between literature and history, which ranges from the postmodern to the postcolonial. In addition to this interface, it is common to the works of both, the representation of the subordinate individual, or as Linda Hutcheon puts it, of the ex-centric. With this in mind, the following article aims to analyze two Angolan works written by Pepetela, A geração da utopia (1992) e Se o passado não tivesse asas (2016), observing issues related to postmodern and postcolonial, as well as the interface between literary or fictional and history, and the representation of the subaltern, in this case the female figure.

Assim, observa-se uma escrita marcada pela presença da interface literatura e história, que contempla tanto a estratégia pós-moderna quanto a estratégia pós-colonial de produção. Ademais, é comum às obras de ambos, a representação do individuo subalterno, ou como coloca Linda Hutcheon, do ex-cêntrico.
