Resumo: This text shows how the hostility towards women writers may be related to their gradual disappearance in the Brazilian literary memory and history. In some cases of discouragement, by a critique that disqualifies – explicitly or veiled, with or without reason – any literary production of female authorship, talents were interrupted. In other cases, we note the effort on the part of female writers to confront male domination in literary and intellectual circles. The purpose of this text is to present repertoires of exclusion of eighteenth-century writers.
