Resumo: In the work Um defeito de cor, by Ana Maria Gonçalves (2016), the protagonist Kehinde recovers and dictates her memories in order to reconstruct her experiences and leave them as a legacy to her lost son, in a dialogue full of meanings and questioner of discourses colonialists. According to Ribeiro (2017), for black women, talking about their experiences means taking the place of speech, that is, overcoming the silence instituted for those who were subordinated, a movement to break with the hierarchy. The (re) configured spaces refer to resistance, demystifying the imaginary constructed by the colonizers that blacks are naturally inferior and have no history (MUNANGA, 2009). Thus, the speech brought by Kehinde is counter-hegemonic in the sense that it aims to destabilize the norm, but it is also strong speech and built from other references and geographies, aims to think other possibilities of existences beyond those imposed by the dominant discursive regime (RIBEIRO, 2017).

Segundo Ribeiro (2017), para a mulher negra, falar sobre suas experiências, significa ocupar o lugar de fala, isto é, ultrapassar o silêncio instituído para quem foi subalternizado, um movimento no sentido de romper com a hierarquia. Os espaços (re)configurados remetem à resistência, desmitificando o imaginário construído pelos colonizadores que os negros são naturalmente inferiores e não têm história (MUNANGA, 2009).
