Resumo: The main objective of this paper was to contrast two feminist perspectives in International Relations. The first is an inside approach from British and American authors, who seek to situate women within the International System. The second is an “outsider” perspective from  Latin American and decolonial authors, which focuses on the condition of women from the social structures that (re) produce male domination in international politics. In methodological terms, it is a comparative analysis limited to four authors representative of the geopolitical division of knowledge between the global north and south. The paper highlights the complexity that different feminist epistemologies bring to IR analyses and argues that the decolonial approach with a feminist perspective has the potential to support the overcoming of the limits of inside feminist approaches.
