Resumo: Based on the theoretical fields of anti-colonial perspectives and childhood studies, this article is based on testimonies of women educators who live in an urban occupation in Belo Horizonte and investigates the relationship between the struggle for housing and Early Childhood Education rights. Therefore, we analyze data produced in doctoral research within a community day care center in this territory. The results point to: the crossings between feminist struggle and women’s role in claiming for children’s rights; the singularity present in the provision of Early Childhood Education in the context of an urban occupation; and the relevance of anti-colonial lenses to understand the processes of claiming for children’s and women’s rights in an urban social movement.

Para ello, analizamos datos de una tesis doctoral que tuvo como espacio investigativo una guardería comunitaria en aquel territorio. Los resultados del estudio demuestran los siguientes aspectos: los cruces de la lucha feminista y el rol de la mujer en la reivindicación por los derechos de los niños; la singularidad presente en la oferta de educación infantil dentro de un contexto de ocupación urbana; y la relevancia de la mirada anticolonial para que se comprendan los procesos de reivindicación de derechos a los niños y a las mujeres en un movimiento social urbano.Tendo como referência os campos teóricos dos estudos anticoloniais e dos estudos da infância, o presente artigo parte da escuta de educadoras moradoras de uma ocupação urbana em Belo Horizonte e analisa as relações entre a luta por moradia e o direito à educação infantil. Para tanto, são analisados dados de uma pesquisa de doutorado que teve como espaço de investigação uma creche comunitária localizada nesse território.
