“What is a child doing with a doll?”: Dialogical reflections about the act of playing

Resumo: This paper analyzes the dialogical relationships emerging from an advertising piece published on social networks in 2020, which addresses the discussion about the male and female universe, around the act of playing performed by children. From the dialogical perspective of language assumed by Bakhtin and the Circle (BAKHTIN, 2016 [1952-1953] [1959-1961], 2018 [1963]); VOLÓCHINOV, 2018 [1929]), the analysis reveals that, even by aiming to sell a product, a doll, the advertising piece constitutes a great response to a conservative, sexist, and heteronormative discourse emerging in the context of the publication of the piece, which coincides with discourses in force in the pre- and post-Brazilian presidential elections.

Desde la perspectiva dialógica del lenguaje asumida por Bajtín y el Círculo (BAJTÍN, 2016 [1952-1953] [1959-1961], 2018 [1963]); VOLÓCHINOV, 2018 [1929]), el análisis revela que, incluso con el objetivo de vender un producto, una muñeca, la pieza publicitaria constituye una gran respuesta a un discurso conservador, sexista y heteronormativo que emerge en el contexto de la publicación de la obra, que coincide con los discursos vigentes en las elecciones pre y post presidenciales en Brasil.Este artigo analisa as relações dialógicas emergentes de uma peça publicitária veiculada nas redes sociais no ano de 2020, que aborda a discussão sobre o universo masculino e o feminino, em torno do ato de brincar das crianças.
