Educational practice during remote teaching in professional and technological education at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Baiano

Resumo: This research had as its object of study the educational practice of teachers at the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia Baiano, during remote teaching, with a view to raising elements that help the exercise of the teaching profession, starting from the perspective that the Covid-19 pandemic required a review of teaching practices. In this sense, a descriptive Research was carried out to gather information and elements that could contribute to the evaluation of teaching practices, especially those focused on the use of active methodologies. The research identified that the challenges of teaching were even more accentuated in the pandemic period, requiring numerous adaptations from teachers for the implementation of non-face-to-face pedagogical activities. Regarding the strategies used during remote classes, it was observed that teachers made use of active learning methodologies and information Technologies in their practices, despite the challenges pointed out with regard to efficient access to the internet and equipment and the difficulties of using digital educational technologies. From the obtained results, the research demonstrated that the active methodologies can collaborate in the improvement of the Teaching practice in the professional and technological education, since they contribute to the teaching and learning process, through the understanding of the student as the protagonist of the referred process, engaging and motivating them to go in search of knowledge in order to better understand the subjects to be addressed in the different disciplines, in a way closer to their reality and to conduct broader discussions, either through the development of collaborative projects between teachers and their respective disciplines, the use of games and the carrying out of activities that allow, for example, the use of logical reasoning or analytical skills and the development of practice simulations, based on the objectives of the courses.

En este sentido, se realizó uma investigación descriptiva, con el objetivo de recopilar información y elementos que pudieran contribuir a la evaluación de las prácticas docentes, especialmente aquellas enfocadas al uso de metodologías activas. La investigación identificó que los desafíos de la enseñanza fueron aún más pronunciados en el período de pandemia, requiriendo numerosas adaptaciones por parte de los docentes para la implementación de actividades pedagógicas no presenciales. En cuanto a las estrategias utilizadas durante las clases remotas, se observó que los docentes hicieron uso de metodologias de aprendizaje activo y tecnologías de la información en sus prácticas, a pesar de los desafíos señalados en cuanto al acceso eficiente a internet y equipos y las dificultades de uso de las tecnologías educativas digitales. A partir de los resultados obtenidos, la investigación demostró que las metodologías activas pueden colaborar en el mejoramiento de la práctica docente en la educación profesional y tecnológica, ya que contribuyen al proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje, a través de la comprensión del estudiante como protagonista del referido proceso, involucrándolos y motivándolos a ir en busca de conocimientos con el fin de comprender mejor los temas a abordar en las diferentes disciplinas, de una manera más cercana a su realidad y a realizar discusiones más amplias, ya sea a través del desarrollo de proyectos colaborativos entre docentes y sus respectivas disciplinas, el uso de juegos y la realización de actividades que permitan, por ejemplo, el uso del razonamiento lógico o de habilidades analíticas y el desarrollo de simulaciones prácticas, basadas en los objetivos de los cursos.A presente pesquisa tem como objeto de estudo a prática educativa de professores do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia Baiano, durante o ensino remoto, com vistas a levantar elementos que auxiliem o exercício da profissão docente, partindo da perspectiva de que a pandemia da COVID-19 exigiu uma revisão das práticas docentes. Nesse sentido, foi realizada uma pesquisa descritiva, objetivando levantar informações e elementos que pudessem contribuir com a avaliação das práticas docentes, especialmente àquelas voltadas para o uso das metodologias ativas. A pesquisa permitiu identificar que os desafios da docência foram ainda mais acentuados no período pandêmico, exigindo dos professores inúmeras adaptações para a implantação das atividades pedagógicas não presenciais. Sobre as estratégias utilizadas durante as aulas remotas, observou-se que os professores fizeram uso de metodologias ativas de aprendizagem e das tecnologias da informação em suas práticas, apesar dos desafios apontados no que diz respeito ao acesso eficiente à internet e aos equipamentos e às dificuldades de utilização de tecnologias educacionais digitais.
