Between philosophy and sociology: theoretical frameworks of the current discussions about history and memory

Resumo: The objective of this text is to point out the theoretical matrices of some authors who serve as reference of contemporary studies on the relation between history and memory: Bergson, Halbwachs, Pollak, Ricoeur. Their studies dialogue, in a direct or indirect way, with two matrices: the sociological-objectivist and the phenomenologicalintuitionist. These matrices became known within the scope of the dispute between philosophy and sociology about the orientation of the emerging human sciences in the XIX century.

These matrices became known within the scope of the dispute between philosophy and sociology about the orientation of the emerging human sciences in the XIX century. El objetivo de este trabajo es situar los marcos teóricos de la labor de algunos autores que sirven como referencia para buena parte de los estudios contemporáneos sobre las relaciones entre la historia y la memoria: Bergson, Halbwachs, Pollak, Nora y Ricoeur. Sus estudios de dialogan, directa o indirectamente, con dos matrices: la sociológicaobjetivista y la fenomenológica-intuicionista. Estas se instalaron en el contexto de la disputa entre la sociología y la filosofía dirigiéndose a las ciencias de humanidades nacientes en el siglo XIX. O objetivo deste texto é situar as matrizes teóricas dos trabalhos de alguns autores que servem como referência para boa parte dos estudos contemporâneos sobre as relações entre história e memória: Bergson, Halbwachs, Pollak, Nora e Ricoeur. Seus estudos dialogam, de maneira direta ou indireta, com duas matrizes: a sociológicaobjetivista e a fenomenológica-intuicionista. Elas se estabeleceram no âmbito da disputa entre a sociologia e a filosofia pelo direcionamento das ciências humanas nascentes no século XIX.
