Resumo: Our aim in this article is to approach the topic of amerindian anthropophagy as it comes about in Portuguese domains in the XVIth century, having the problem of alterity as a central concern. We attempt to show that its formulation produces efects that highlight the relationships between various normative projects with its margins or portions of reality which they do not apprehend.

Pretendemos mostrar que la forma formulada, produce efectos que marcan los relacionamientos entre los diferentes proyectos normativos de la época con sus márgenes o partes reales que no perciben.Neste artigo visamos abordar o tema da antropofagia indígena na América portuguesa como aparece no século XVI, tendo como preocupação o problema da alteridade.
