Resumo: This article analyzes correspondence sent to President Lula and filed in the Cabinet Personal of the President of the Republic of the National Archives, making an intersection between history and psychoanalysis. In the letters studied, it is possible to verify the presence of delusions on the part of the senders, therefore, we seek to draw a parallel between the delusions and the political, economic, and social moment of the time when the letters were written. In the end, it is possible to conclude that the external reality ends up entering the senders’ delusions, making them a reflection of the historical period.

En las cartas estudiadas es posible constatar la presencia de delirios por parte de los remitentes, por lo que se intenta establecer un paralelismo entre los delirios y el momento político, económico y social de la época en que se escribieron las cartas. Al final, es posible concluir que la realidad externa termina entrando en los delirios de los emisores, convirtiéndolos en un reflejo del período histórico.O presente artigo analisa correspondências enviadas ao presidente Lula e arquivadas no fundo Gabinete Pessoal do Presidente da República do Arquivo Nacional, realizando uma intersecção entre a história e a psicanálise. Nas cartas estudadas é possível verificar a presença de delírios por parte dos remetentes, portanto, busca-se traçar um paralelo entre os delírios e o momento político, econômico e social da época em que as correspondências foram redigidas.
