Resumo: A few months after the end of the Second World War, Italian neo- -fascism reorganised itself into a party, the Italian Social Movement (1946-1995), a direct heir to the fascist tradition. In this text, we will analyse how the ruptures in Italian neo-fascism took place, considering three main moments: the context of the migration of former fascists to communism or Christian democracy; the disputes between the internal currents of the MSI: the majority conservative centre, the revolutionary republican inspiration of Saló and the spiritualist fascism of Julius Evola; finally, the normalisation of the MSI in political life in the 1990s and its subsequent dissolution. Throughout its history, and even in the next phase, the post-fascist National Alliance, the MSI questioned fascist doctrine, suffered internal contrasts between a stabilising function in an anti-communist key and anti-system praxis, but hardly questioned the Mussolinian myth, which continues to influence the Italian right.

Editora da PUCRS - ediPUCRS2024-04-30info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistaseletronicas.pucrs.br/index.php/iberoamericana/article/view/4474110.15448/1980-864X.2024.1.44741Estudos Ibero-Americanos; Vol. 50 No. 1 (2024): Single Volume - Continuous flow; e44741Estudos Ibero-Americanos; Vol. 50 Núm. 1 (2024): Volumen Único - Flujo continuo; e44741Estudos Ibero-Americanos; v. 50 n. 1 (2024): Volume único - Fluxo contínuo; e447411980-864X0101-406410.15448/1980-864X.2024.1.reponame:Estudos Ibero-Americanosinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS)instacron:PUC_RSspahttps://revistaseletronicas.pucrs.br/index.php/iberoamericana/article/view/44741/28508Copyright (c) 2024 Matteo Rehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessRe, Matteo2024-04-30T17:41:30Zoai:ojs.revistaseletronicas.pucrs.br:article/44741Revistahttps://revistaseletronicas.pucrs.br/index.php/iberoamericanaPRIhttps://revistaseletronicas.pucrs.br/index.php/iberoamericana/oaieditora.periodicos@pucrs.br||eia@pucrs.br1980-864X0101-4064opendoar:2024-04-30T17:41:30Estudos Ibero-Americanos - Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS)false
