Public history and history teaching: convergences between the writing of history and teaching in context

Resumo: The text reviews the work Public history and history teaching, bringing together research results in the convergence between the two fields, with a significant presence of history teachers of basic education in continuing education. It argues that, if the expansion of public history has been seeking dialogue with teaching of history, not only has this dialogue recursively become one of the main threads in the weaving of the network itself, but also research and practices in teaching of history have renewed their meanings in dialogue with public history. Thus, being situated in a bubbling area of themes, problems, approaches, references and contexts, the work offers an important contribution to the configuration of a language in which the possibilities of articulation and encounter between the teaching of history and public history are expressed.

Sostiene que, si la expansión de la historia pública ha buscado el diálogo con la enseñanza de la historia, este diálogo no solo se ha convertido de manera recursiva en uno de los hilos principales en el tejido de la propia red, sino que también investigaciones y prácticas en la enseñanza de la historia renovaron sus significados en diálogo con la historia pública. En este sentido, al situarse en un espacio burbujeante de temas, problemas, enfoques, referencias y contextos, la obra ofrece un importante aporte a la configuración de un lenguaje en el que se expresan las posibilidades de articulación y encuentro entre la enseñanza de la historia y la historia pública.    O texto resenha a obra História pública e ensino de história, reunindo resultados de pesquisa na convergência entre os dois campos, com significativa presença de professores de História que atuam na educação básica, em formação continuada. Argumenta que, se a expansão da história pública vem buscando o diálogo com o ensino de história, não só esse diálogo foi se convertendo recursivamente em um dos principais fios na tecitura da própria rede como também as pesquisas e práticas em ensino de história renovaram seus sentidos no diálogo com a história pública.
