History of the Present Time, the Shoah and paratranslation: The process of constructing narratives about the genocide

Resumo: This paper aims to study the relationship between the history of the present, Holocaust studies and paratranslation, as well as to prove how the different analysis carried out by investigations about genocides have considered these fields of study. Through a bibliographic perspective and having gathered several papers throughout the second half of the 20th and 21st centuries, our standpoints have focused on finding the historical relationship between the mentioned fields, highlighting the difficulties that each of them has had to emerge in time and space in terms of categories and concepts. In addition to the presentation of paratranslation as a multi-perspective approach, our goal has been to understand how a concept commonly associated with the linguistics field is connected to the history of the present and how both fields are interrelated with studies about the Shoah that, in a certain way, have been linked to the beginnings of these two approaches.

Busca evidenciar cómo los análisis elaborados a partir de investigaciones sobre genocidios han profundizado en todas estas áreas de conocimiento. Nuestros enfoques, mediante una perspectiva bibliográfica y de recopilación de trabajos a lo largo de la segunda mitad de los siglos XX y XXI, han buscado entrelazar la historia de dichas áreas, destacando las dificultades que cada una de ellas han tenido para emerger en el tiempo y en el espacio en cuanto a categorías y conceptos. Además de presentar la paratraducción como una metodología multiperspectiva, nuestro objetivo ha sido entender cómo un término normalmente perteneciente al campo lingüístico y traductológico dialoga con la Historia del Tiempo Presente y cómo ambas disciplinas se interrelacionan con los estudios de la Shoah, que, en cierta medida, han estado ligados al origen de estas dos corrientes. Este artigo tem como objetivo um estudo sobre a relação entre a história do tempo presente, os estudos do Holocausto e a paratradução procurando evidenciar como todos esses campos disciplinares permearam as análises que compõem as investigações sobre os genocídios. Nossa abordagem, por meio de uma perspectiva bibliográfica e de levantamento de trabalhos ao longo dasegunda metade do século XX e XXI, buscou entrelaçar a história dessas áreas destacando as dificuldades de emergência de cada uma delas e mostrando a mudança no tempo e no espaço das categorias e conceitos.
