Resumo: | Through collaborative research that lasted about fifteen years, Daron Acemoglu and James Robinson in Why Nations Fail, published in the year 2012, establish a new analysis at the success and failure of nations. In his work, Acemoglu and Robinson contend the importance of institutions for the development and respond to the differences in wealth between the countries. To accomplish this activity, the authors work with a qualitative method, retaking historical events from various nations and reinterpreting the events under a new theory. Consequently, its work carries out an analysis of the development of the countries and their institutions from a path dependence |

Editora da PUCRS - ediPUCRS2019-10-21info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistaseletronicas.pucrs.br/ojs/index.php/conversasecontroversias/article/view/3411010.15448/2178-5694.2019.1.34110Conversas & Controvérsias; Vol. 6 No. 1 (2019): Dossier - International Relations and Environment; e34110Conversas & Controvérsias; v. 6 n. 1 (2019): Dossiê - Relações Internacionais e Meio Ambiente; e341102178-569410.15448/2178-5694.2019.1reponame:Conversas & Controvérsiasinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS)instacron:PUC_RSporhttps://revistaseletronicas.pucrs.br/ojs/index.php/conversasecontroversias/article/view/34110/18645Copyright (c) 2019 Conversas & Controvérsiasinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMichel Rebello, MaurícioPereira, Matheus Gomes2019-11-04T18:45:47Zoai:ojs.revistaseletronicas.pucrs.br:article/34110Revistahttps://revistaseletronicas.pucrs.br/ojs/index.php/conversasecontroversias/indexPUBhttps://revistaseletronicas.pucrs.br/ojs/index.php/conversasecontroversias/oaiteresa.marques@pucrs.br2178-56942178-5694opendoar:2019-11-04T18:45:47Conversas & Controvérsias - Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS)false |
