Resumo: | This text is part of the Religious-Education-Map project that aims to identify, organize and analyze the enrollment course of this curricular component in the history of Brazilian education. The project, which is currently in it’s preliminary stage, focusses on the study of literature in order to establish the reference for further studies of historically produced documents in the field of Religious Education. It is the main goal of the project to promote Religious Education through the understanding of the field’s constituents both in terms of the curricula and the profile of the teacher training programes. The present article gives an overview of the history of the discipline. For this purpose it makes use of a multidisciplinary approach composed of the concepts of Chervel, Passos and Romanowiski. |

Esta é uma pesquisa exploratória, por tratar-se de um estudo preliminar, realizada por meio de um levantamento bibliográfico para estabelecer a referência dos estudos posteriores e articulação de documentos historicamente produzidos. Pois o desafio de fundamentar a escolarização da disciplina e a compreensão do estabelecimento de uma área de referência para orientar o estabelecimento de currículos e o perfil da formação do professor foi a proposição dessa pesquisa.
