Resumo: On May, 28th, 2018, the “Dictionary of Slavery and Freedom”, organized by Lilia Moritz Schwarcz and Flávio dos Santos Gomes, was launched at the Eva Herz Theater, at Livraria Cultura, São Paulo. To shed a light on the multiple facets of slavery, the authors edited a thematic Dictionary composed of 50 critical entries. This essay presents reading notes of the ten letter “A” and nine letter “C’ entries. Africa, Brazil, Slavery, Freedom, Traffic.
