Resumo: The reflections presented in this article focus on the historical and anthropological data of intolerance and seeks for its religious antidotes. The article first presents some roots of intolerant behavior, particularly those of a religious-religious nature. Religions are sources of intolerance and, for this reason, may offer the antidotes to this ethical and political anomaly. The reflection concludes with the presentation of current theological parameters that allow us to overcome the intolerant stance and the tolerance itself with the acceptance postures and appreciation of alterities.

Apresentam primeiramente algumas raízes do comportamento intolerante, particularmente aquelas de natureza religiosa. As religiões constituem fontes de intolerância e, por esta razão, poderão oferecer os antídotos para esta anomalia ética e política.
