Resumo: This Essay Review visits Atilio Machado Peppe’s thesis entitled “Work and technoscience in the philosophical ethics of Henrique Cláudio de Lima Vaz.” The author uses Lima Vaz’s work to illuminate the values of the new types of ethical communities. The Ethical-Political-Labor Communities (CEPOLS) articulated with Democratic States emphasize community bonds capable of humanizing work and technoscience. After reviewing the thesis’s structure and pointing out relevant issues and observations, the article concludes with brief considerations.
