Resumo: The objective of this research is to analyze as healing representations of benzedeiras living in the urban environment the municipality of Quirinópolis, Goiás. The present study is justified from the results of the doctoral research of that municipality between 2013 and 2016, in view of the relevance of these women for maintaining social hope. The main problem is to verify which representations that appear in the speeches recorded during the field research. It is hypothesized that oral representations point to aspects not only of religiosity, but of geography, medicine and culture. The methodology used in the research is an exploratory study of bibliographic character with field research, using as a research instrument a closed questionnaire, whichever, this article highlights only the aspects that permeate as representations of healing. The result is the richness of the speeches.

O presente estudo se justifica a partir dos resultados da pesquisa doutoral do referido município entre os anos de 2013 e de 2016, tendo em vista a relevância dessas mulheres para a manutenção da esperança social. O problema central é verificar quais são as representações que surgem nos discursos registrados durante a pesquisa de campo. Trabalha-se como hipótese de que as representações orais apontam para aspectos não só da religiosidade, mas da geografia, da medicina e da cultura. A metodologia empregada na pesquisa é a de um estudo exploratório de caráter bibliográfico com pesquisa de campo, utilizando como instrumento de pesquisa um questionário fechado, do qual este artigo evidenciará apenas os aspectos que permeiam as representações de cura.
