Resumo: This work discusses the Freudian theory of fantasy, analyzing especially the essays from 1983 to 1909. In the genesis of psychoanalysis, mainly permeated by the idea of healing the hysterics, the fantasy theme was understood as a form of the "I "To guard against the truth, and the discovery of this mechanism favored the maturation of psychoanalytic theory, although later elaborated the term fantasy follows a path of discovery, through the encounter of mnemonic traits, infantile play, infantile sexuality, reveries and the difference between the unconscious and the dynamic forces on the repressed conten
