The purpose of this thesis is to apply the presuppositions of Logical-Semantic-Constructivist Theory to the development of a General Theory of Law. Philosophically inspired and using as instruments the Linguistic Turn, Semiotics, the Theory of Value, an analytic approach and, mainly, the teachings of PAULO DE BARROS CARVALHO, the founding concepts which recur throughout every segment of Law, are thought out and structured in this work for the edification of a Theory that explains then in light of these fundaments. The general categories are observed, taking into account the three sectional cuts for the delimitation of Law, well delineated in the work of PAULO DE BARROS CARVALHO: (i) a set of valid juridical norms; (ii) materialized in prescriptive language; and (iii) impregnated with value. With a critical view toward constructions produced by traditional legal doctrine, once the basis of Logical-Semantic-Constructivism has been set, the work presents in an invitation to philosophical reflection: (i) a Theory of the Juridical Norm, that analyzes the structure and content of the units of positive law; (ii) a Theory of Incidence, that studies the application of juridical norms and the resulting effects caused to the juridical system; and (iii) a Theory of the Juridical System, that explains how relationships are formed between juridical norms in the conformation of a positive law system, how they arise, how they come to integrate such system, how they produce effects and how they cease to pertain to the system. With the conjunction of these three theories, immersed in Logical-Semantic-Constructivist thought, the work offers up a General Theory of Law, a perspective on the categories existing in all the methodologically sectioned parts of legal knowledge, which can be molded into such a philosophical concept
