Resumo: The theoretical foundations of the philosophy of Charles Sanders Peirce (1839 – 1914) are full of complexity and encompass a fullness of spheres that transcend the limits of conventional philosophical disciplines. From the analyses of its assumptions, it was possible to observe how these are intertwined and encompass several domains of philosophy, semiotics, logic, metaphysics and even biology. At the heart of Peircian philosophy lies critical realism, the belief in the objective existence of reality that transcends human experience. Among his main contributions is his pragmatic vision, which emphasizes the importance of the utility and practical application of knowledge in the search for truth, establishing a deep interaction between thought and action. Peirce is also renowned for his contributions to semiotics, which explores the nature of signs and communication. His trichotomy of signs into icons, indexes and symbols unravels the complexity of symbolic representations and the intrinsic relationship between signs, the world and the mind. However, this work focuses on the Theory of Evolutionary Love, developed by the American philosopher in question, which represents the great foundational basis and a breakthrough for scholars on the subject, since it detects and exposes the elements that constitute it. In the philosophical thought pointed out in the essay "Evolutionary Love", Peirce understands that Evolutionary Love, conceived from Agapism love, that is, as universal love, can be better understood as a feeling capable of organizing contradictory emotions and thoughts, thus having the capacity and autonomy to guide our conduct of life. In this sense, this Peircean concept is indispensable to think about a scenario of modern society. On the subject, our work seeks to discuss the influence and possible interfaces between the idea of philia, as thought by Aristotle, in the formulation of Peirce's theory of evolutionary love, understanding it, above all, as an ideal of increasing the Reasonableness capable of acting in human life. Without any pretense of comparatism between these two great philosophers, this study aims only to find, in the thought of both, converging elements, which can be treated as common elements, pertinent to the two conceptual universes, that is, to observe the possible existence of the presence of the idea of philia in the concept of Peirce's Theory of Evolutionary Love. Therefore, we seek to answer about a relationship with these characteristics, where an agapic love is observed, as explained by Peirce, who used a word derived from agape, "agapism", to designate the law of evolutionary love, where, according to this theory, the evolution of the cosmos would be linked to the growth of brotherly love among human beings. One can speculate whether this harmonic form would not be a proposal for a possible new society, based on the concepts developed here

One can speculate whether this harmonic form would not be a proposal for a possible new society, based on the concepts developed hereOs alicerces teóricos da filosofia de Charles Sanders Peirce (1839 – 1914) são repletos de complexidade e abarcam uma plenitude de esferas que transcendem os limites das disciplinas filosóficas convencionais.
