Through the wide diversity of insurance companies that operate in Brazil, with a focus on those that offer automotive products; despite their market differences such as types of coverage offered, as well as: development, support, broker network, technology and even mergers between them, at the very least these are variables that depend on the company, they can either reflect in positive impacts, as negative in the market, that is, “x” can be a determining strategy to stand out in the market. This monograph aims to reflect on the competitiveness of the auto sector in the last 10 (ten) years, using as a reference the indicator of the degree of competition and concentration of the market HHI – Herfindahl-Hirschman Index, as well as the statistical modeling Cluster – Multivariate Distance Euclidean. The categories of this material are an exploratory study with the application of the hypothetical-deducible methodology and quantitative approach. With these parameters, it is believed to be possible to explain and indicate the trend of this segment for the market in the coming years, taking the applied time period as a reference.
