Peripheral territories, historically built as geographical and symbolic spaces for the reproduction of inequality and poverty, face a cycle of isolation that reinforces differences and intensifies the process of exclusion. Considering that social, cultural, and economic configurations are strongly related to the possibilities of connection, and collaboration between individuals, their communities and territories, in this research we study the relationship between the dynamics of social networks, the transformations of digital communication technologies, and the development of social capital. With the objective of identifying and analyzing elements that contribute to the creation, expansion and strengthening of connections from the Peripheral Impact Business network, the methodology adopted was the case study of ANIP, an organization formed from the relationship between peripheral and non-peripheral. In this context, technologies and digital communication networks work by shaping relationships, introducing new forms, or changing the way of accumulation and access to the most diverse types of resources, paving the way for new connections and collaboration between networks from different territories and groups. but also amplifying mechanisms that produce inequalities. The identification with a social cause establishes points of contact that contribute to creating engagement in the territory itself, in other peripheral regions, but also to establish links based on common purposes with other social groups and sectors of activity. Building these relationships requires a translation procedure that includes the knowledge and culture of peripheral communities and enables dialogue, forming bonds that work as a basis for expanding connections, exchanges of support, and partners.
