The nature of research is characterized as bibliographical and documentary research also bringing reflections on experiments. Thus, the methodology is data source the bibliographical research carried out in books, theses and dissertations, periodicals and scientific articles. The social services, higher education, multidisciplinary management, participatory democratic management, will be the guiding study, seeking to give a new phase for the role of social work in the multidisciplinary management in an institution of higher education. With the programs of the Federal Government for the inclusion of low-income students in higher education institutions, the role of social worker with the managers acquired a new format, no longer only the picker candidates for benefits, to carry out work with team’s multidisciplinary performing well, care which goes from the candidate's ticket to entry to the labor market. The trigger of this work is the question: How the social worker works with the multidisciplinary teams in educational management of higher education, in view of the challenges ahead. The study allowed us to understand the need and the value to conduct a multidisciplinary work with quality, showing that social work in education has a part to cooperate with managers in the inclusion and training of students, sensilizando faculty to work together and with the horizon the prospect of inclusion not only of students but of also their families
