This work will aim to examine the typological relationship that exists between the passage of Ex 3,14, where God says to Moses: “I am who I am”, also known as the Sacred Tetragrammaton; with the Fourth Gospel, more specifically the parts where Jesus uses the absolute term “I Am”, as in: “I told you that you would die in your sins. Indeed, if you do not believe that 'I am,' you will die in your sins”; in Jn 8:28: “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that 'I am', and that I do nothing of myself, but I speak as the Father taught me”; in Jn 8,58: “before Abraham was, I am”; and, finally, in Jn 13:19: “I tell you this now before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe that I am”. In the same way, the work wants to present a Christological vision, starting from Sacred Scripture, more particularly starting from the Fourth Gospel. This theme is important to combat an Aryan vision that is still very present today within the doctrine of some so-called Christian religions. It will also serve for the reader to have a better knowledge about the figure of Jesus Christ. Christology has always been and always will be a fundamental aspect of Catholic theology. Thus, it is intended to elaborate a research that seeks the biblical and dogmatic roots of Christology.
