This present study deals with the impacts of population aging and longevity in the workforce in Brazil and especially 60 years old or over, they are elderly by the Federal Elderly Law, no 10.741 of October 1, and with the characteristics of the “knowledge worker”. These are the elderly whose condition for work presupposes your educational level, its own condition of learning renewal, autonomy, the quality applied in their work routine processes, the ability to elaborate thoughts, make decisions, transform models, solve problems and challenges. They make their intellect available to work. Scientific and technological advances contribute to the demographic phenomenon, which continue to promote more quality to extended life. Therefore, this dissertation wishes to understand "The future of work for the sexagenarian of knowledge". They live the aging process, what and how they think about the future of their own work. The methodology of this paper is qualitative. The bibliographic, documentary and statistical survey was carried out on the subject and semi-structured interviews with 14 knowledge workers. A script of questions was developed, divided into two parts: with the objective of capturing information about the demographic and professional profile of the interviewees, and in getting to know their perceptions, perspectives and expectations about their work and their future. From the interviewed professionals, it can be concluded that they are physically and intellectually full, they are aware of the importance of the benefits and challenges of old age and of continuing to work, even though they have reached a certain financial comfort
