Resumo: | The construction sector is a growing industry in Brazil, bringing socio-economic benefits. However, the construction industry still faces challenges in terms of socioenvironmental responsibility, such as improper waste disposal. Concern for sustainability has led to the development of innovative solutions, such as the Wood Frame construction system. As a sustainable alternative in terms of echnology and building materials, this system uses lightweight wood structures and insulating materials to construct houses and buildings, offering energy efficiency, construction speed, and waste reduction. In this study, developed in the form of esearch through an extensive iterature review from academic sources, books, scientific articles, and relevant publications on the construction system, it presents a detailed analysis of this construction technique that is gaining more and more space in the market. The study highlights the essential concepts and racteristics of Wood Frame, its historical origin, evolution, and guiding principles. It also addresses various topics related to the Wood Frame construction system, such as the concept and history of Wood Frame, standards and recommendations, the manufacturing process, logistics, the nstruction process, and interviews with experts, providing valuable information about the practical application of this construction technique. As final considerations, the main points ddressed in the research are esented with the aim of providing relevant and up-to-date information about Wood Frame, so that professionals in the construction industry can evaluate the feasibility of its use in their projects |

A preocupação com a sustentabilidade tem levado ao desenvolvimento de soluções inovadoras, como o sistema construtivo Wood Frame. Uma alternativa sustentável em termos de tecnologia e materiais de construção, esse sistema utiliza estruturas de madeira leve e materiais isolantes para construir casas e edifícios, oferecendo eficiência energética, rapidez na construção e redução de resíduos. Neste estudo, desenvolvido na forma de pesquisa a partir de uma ampla revisão bibliográfica em fontes acadêmicas, livros, artigos científicos e publicações relevantes sobre o sistema construtivo, apresenta-se uma análise detalhada sobre essa técnica construtiva que vem ganhando cada vez mais espaço no mercado. O estudo evidencia os conceitos e características essenciais do Wood Frame, sua origem histórica, evolução e princípios que o orientam. Além disso, aborda diversos temas relacionados ao sistema construtivo Wood Frame, como o conceito e a história do Wood Frame, normas e recomendações, processo de fabricação e logística, processo de construção. Também foram realizadas entrevistas com especialistas, que fornecem informações valiosas sobre a aplicação prática dessa técnica construtiva.
