Resumo: The subject of this research paper is the marks of orality in broadcast news and its main objective is to investigate and analyze the orality marks in the TV news show “Bom Dia São Paulo”, from TV Globo, one of the most popular morning broadcast news show in the São Paulo state area. In order to achieve that, we make use of theoretical works and concepts that are related to Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, Journalistic language and TV news shows, such as the works of Dias (2008); Lage (2006); Gutmann (2014); Marcondes Filho (2000) and Charaudeau (2010), as well as theoretical postulates established by the Analysis of Conversation, specially the research developed by Marcuschi (1986, 1997, 2010) and Kerbrat- Orecchioni (2006). Therefore, after a concise reflection regarding the most essential aspects of journalism and journalistic language, a discussion concerning the fundamental points of the Analysis of Conversation and a brief examination of the differences between written and spoken language, this research has identified and analyzed the marks of orality in the broadcast news show seeking to comprehend how such phenomena is used as a strategy to attract and hold the audience. As a result, the analysis allowed us to confirm the presence of marks of orality in the anchors’ discourse, which are attested by the use of conversational markers, contractions and body language

Para realizar tal análise, recorremos a teóricos que apresentam conceitos referentes a questões de jornalismo, telejornalismo, linguagem jornalística e telejornal, como Dias (2008); Lage (2006); Gutmann (2014); Marcondes Filho (2000) e Charaudeau (2010), bem como postulados teóricos estabelecidos pela Análise da Conversação, sobretudo das pesquisas desenvolvidas por Marcuschi (1986, 1997, 2010) e Kerbrat- Orecchioni (2006). Assim, após um breve recorte sobre as principais características do jornalismo e da linguagem jornalística, uma discussão acerca dos aspectos fundamentais da Análise da Conversação e algumas considerações acerca das diferenças entre língua falada e língua escrita, o presente trabalho identificou e analisou as marcas de oralidade presentes no telejornal buscando compreender como tais fenômenos são utilizados como estratégia de aproximação do telespectador.
