This is a comprehensive study on the Pornographic Industry, focusing on historical-economic, microeconomic, and social analysis. Its main objective is to capture the danger it poses while navigating the market, accumulating profits through the exploitation and violence against women, and negatively impacting individuals' behavior in society. As it progresses, the research establishes key definitions and explores the distinctions and similarities between pornography and prostitution, as well as investigating the history of eroticization and its impact on shaping societal ideals about the female body, to understand its roots and its relationship with the treatment of sex workers. Through microeconomic tools, the pornographic industry market will be dissected to understand the sector's dynamics. Similarly, cost and wage structures will be examined, along with demographic data extracted from major adult content platforms, to help understand the profile of pornography consumers, the demand, and how these factors influence the production and distribution of pornographic videos. In addition to addressing economic aspects, the study will discuss the social impacts of the content, its potential damages (at both individual and collective levels), psychological effects, and the extent of the problems for actresses, who face physical and mental health consequences.
