The Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo (APM) movement emerged in the context of the Argentine Military Dictatorship in 1976, initially as a subgroup of the Madres de Mayo. The main goal of the group to date is to fight for the search for the disappeared and children born in captivity, and the restitution of their identities, as well as a political struggle against the "war on subversion" promoted by the Military Junta. To this end, the Abuelas used international dissemination strategies to publicize the cause of the movement, since they were unable to articulate freely in a society governed by authoritarianism. In this sense, the research seeks to understand how the Abuelas were integrated into such networks and which strategies were used, based on the literature of international relations of transnational networks of human rights
