Modernization in all sectors is something inevitable, technological acceleration helps this process that expands in large steps, adherence to technological implementation would not be different in the health area. Thus, this work portrays the situation of Unified Medical Records both in the public and private system, pointing out how important computerization is for the improvement and Humanization of care throughout the Brazilian territory. Through Consultations and Teleconsultations, which have become an extremely used service option in recent years, it has allowed a more flexible management improvement in an integrated way through Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) that raise the standards of the units by unifying their services . The methodology used consisted of several bibliographical researches related to the subject, consisting of books, booklets, technical magazines, articles and materials available on the Internet, mainly in the copy of medical records where everything that was used to prepare this review always alternates between Portuguese and English. taking as a criterion of choice that it did not exceed 20 years since its publication. In general, it appears that information technology has contributed significantly in the hospital environment, providing favorable results for health professionals, users and management. However, within the current context, the movement and storage of data by the EPR (Electronic Patient Record) is still not satisfactory due to the resistance encountered in the face of this change in all regions of the country, consequently clarifying that it is not possible to have Unification without the acceptance of Electronic Medical Records being the main barrier in the public and private sectors
