Experiência de psicólogos em plantão psicológico: introduzindo o atendimento a famílias

The aim of this dissertation is to reflect upon the experience that psychologists have when on duty at LEFE (Laboratório de Estudos em Fenomenologia Existencial e Prática em Psicologia-Laboratory of Studies in Existential Phenomenology and Practice in Psychology) at USP (University of Sao Paulo) suggesting a kind of attendance: the psychological attendance to family groups. However, the psychologists in attendance that took part in the experiment didn‟t have any previous knowledge of the systemic theory. During the work we took up a description of the psychological attendance carried through the phenomenological existential perspective, an interpretation of the ways of being a family and the possibilities of caring offered to the current families. A qualitative methodology was used in the research. The analysis of the interviews was done in the light of the systemic theory. Five on duty psychologists were interviewed and we found out some elements in common in all the narratives. These elements gathered, appointed towards the experience the psychologists had been through and constituted categories that dialogued with theoretical reading. It was concluded that the practice the psychologist uses, doesn‟t follow clear definitions in relation to all possibilities, mainly when all the new social demands are taken into consideration. The psychologist waits on people having a fragmented knowledge and the expectation of a traditional practice, dualist and private far from the needs of the current community. When the psychologist faces a condition which breaks up with what he knows, he should be more open and available to deal with anguish, opening himself to new possibilities of performance. Writing this work led us to a series of questions which are far from reaching a consensus and thus require more research
