Violência nas escolas: possibilidades de superação por uma proposta fundada na ética e na cidadania

The issue of violence is an issue that concerns the whole society and especially challenges educators in search of its understanding, before so many events reported in the media and experienced in the classroom. This work focuses on the study of violence in schools and are aimed at the construction of indicators for overcoming this problem, show the importance of the bullying’s quickly and efficiently identification and raise the experience of educators in training in this issue. In the theory, we rely on contributions from authors such as Terezinha Rios and her views on ethics, so important in teacher education. We bring the valuable contribution of Paulo Freire, Rubem Alves, among others. To clarify about bullying, Ana Beatriz B. Silva, helped especially with her research on the subject, which is serious and requires that we turn on him. We elucidate the methodological foundation in qualitative research, working meanings and senses of the phenomenon of violence for the subjects, students of 4th year of Pedagogy at PUC-SP. These students, who mostly come from upper-middle class, helped with testimony on the issue of violence. The results of studies point to its importance, go beyond the informative and require involvement of the entire school community, as parents, students and teachers as well as the whole society and especially the government. It is important to build for our students an ethical stance in relations and above all lead by example. Exit speech that we must take into consideration the student's reality and actually respect it. More than that, we need to help change it. It is essential the collective creation of Educational Policy Project as a tool for transforming the quality of education because it is doing what is most important and meaningful for students and the entire educational community
