This Course Completion Work is part of the context of reflections that problematize the socalled “crisis of the school’s meaning”, which reaches, indistinctly, all education institutions, including confessional ones. According to these discussions, the school, by neglecting the properly pedagogical objectives of its practices, to the detriment of excessively methodological concerns – because it is increasingly colonized by a pragmatic-utilitarian conception of education –, loses, from the horizon, the perception that its educational proposal must be deliberately ordered to form identities, guide behaviors and structure personalities, allowing it to be taken over by a harmful anthropological indetermination. Thus, considering the unavoidable need for the educational actions developed by Catholic schools – understood as processes of integral formation of the human person – to be organically linked to the Christian anthropological notion, this research aims to identify the formative dimensions that could integrate the proposals pedagogical practices of these educational institutions. The investigation is carried out using a qualitative approach, using the interpretation of documents prepared by the Congregation for Catholic Education as a methodological procedure. In Edith Stein is found the theoretical framework from which the understanding of the constitution of man is based: a being created in the image of God, a person in undivided unity of body, soul and spirit, directed by own intelligence and will, an intrinsically free mind and devoted to communion (experienced in its relationship with the Creator, with other people and with the natural world). The results of the analyzes corroborate the thesis postulated within the scope of this Course Completion Work, according to which, for Catholic schools to enable the full education of their students, it will be necessary that their pedagogical proposals integrate the following formative dimensions: the intellectual, the spiritual- religious, human-affective, ecclesial-communitarian and missionary
