Chile’s social explosion of 2019 brought large-scale visibility to the socioeconomic collapse that the neoliberal model had created in the country since the implementation of the constitution created by Augusto Pinochet in 1980, during the dictatorial regime. However, the demands brought in October 2019 had already been recurrent in Chile for several decades and were already based on several previous civil manifestations, such as student and feminist, which took place more vehemently from 2006 onwards, with the “Revolución Pingüina”. This research presents the relevance of these social manifestations for the outbreak of 2019, the role of these groups in the beginning of the constituent process, some demands brought to the streets manifestations over the years, some subsequent consequences of the protests and also a comparative analysis of Chilean institutions against the institutions of male domination and reproduction of symbolic violence discussed in Bourdieu's work, represented by the Family, Church, School and State
