The objective of this research is to analyze the scientific and social imaginary surrounding trans childhoods, identifying and historicizing the sociopolitical institutions responsible for the production and maintenance of the modes of operation in the management of death (both physical and symbolic) of cisnormativity dissidents. Specifically, it describes the relationship between necropolitics and the bodies of trans children through the lens of intersectionality. To achieve this, a mixed methodology was adopted, comprising a critical review of the literature and narratives collected from 255 trans individuals from across Brazil through an online questionnaire. Using a critical and ethical approach, the study discusses depathologizing approaches that consider the three "spheres of recognition" formulated by Honneth (2009). The results point to the existence of a trans necropolitics administered by various institutions and discursive forces aimed at maintaining cisnormativity by annihilating non-normative gender expressions from childhood. The main analyses indicate the family and school as primary spheres of discrimination; difficulties in naming the trans experience due to a lack of references, generating feelings of anguish and inadequacy; and, finally, negative impacts on mental health and its various nuances stemming from verbal and physical violence motivated by transphobia. In light of this scenario, emancipatory and counter-hegemonic practices were identified, highlighting the benefits of support networks, role models, and public policies, as well as the denaturalization of genders as purely biological phenomena
